Bar/Bat Mitzvah Fee and Payment Agreement
$250 Deposit due with application
This fee includes the following:
Bar/Bat Mitzvah Preparation Fee This includes meetings with Rabbi and Cantor, up to 26 private tutoring sessions, Rehearsal with the Cantor, and is in addition to all Religious School and Temple Membership fees.
Friday Oneg Shabbat The Bar/Bat Mitzvah family and the Temple co-host a simple Oneg after the Kabbalat Shabbat service (Friday evening before the Bar/Bat Mitzvah) which is prepared for the entire congregation in honor of the Bar/Bat Mitzvah.
Shabbat Morning Booklet Based on information provided by the family the TIOH will produce a booklet for use during the service Shabbat morning that includes a welcome, information about the service, the weekly Torah portion, a personal message from the family and the child, a description of the Mitzvah project. The booklet is informational, personal and a keepsake for your guests.
If requested by the family candy for the Service will be provided by TIOH - Families are not permitted to bring their own
Security (Saturday Morning) The fee also helps defray the cost of security from approximately 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on the morning of the Bar/Bat Mitzvah. Each family contributes toward this Temple cost.
We require a $250 deposit at time of signing the agreement and allocation of date. By signing and submitting this Confirmation and Contract you agree to the full fee of $2500 (less $250 deposit) will be due and payable on the date which is eighteen months prior to your childs originally assigned Bar/Bat Mitzvah date. If that date is less than eighteen months from the date of this Contract the full fee is due upon signing. For your convenience, we offer a twelve month interest free payment plan automatically charged to the credit card of your choice. Any payments made toward the Bar/Bat Mitzvah will be refunded if the Bar/Bat Mitzvah is cancelled more than one year in advance of the scheduled date. If cancelled less than a year in advance the refund will be prorated for the months remaining.
In the event you and your child's tutor agree that extra sessions are advisable (in addition to the 26 discussed above) you agree that your account will be charged for a minimum of 5 half hour sessions at the rate of $45 per half hour. Should all five not be required the balance will be refinded to you. In the event more than five additional tutoring sessions are necessary you agree to be charged at the same rate per session
