Join Rabbi Missaghieh for a chocolate factory tour & text story at a local Los Angeles handcrafted chocolate factory.
Founded in 2014, LetterPress Chocolate is a small batch bean to bar chocolate company which features single-origin, and in many cases single-project cacao from around the world. Their goal is to forge direct relationships with farmers and co-ops who feature truly exceptional cacao, to pay a premium and help raise the quality of life.
We will tour the small factory and also study about the history of Jews and chocolate, from Rabbi Deborah Prinz’s book On the Chocolate Trail: A Delicious Adventure Connecting Jews, Religions, History, Travel, Rituals and Recipes to the Magic of Cacao.
